Rose McGowan gives a message to Harvey Weinstein on the first day of trial.
Salma Hayek, Angelina Jolie, Rose McGowan and Gwyneth Paltrow are among dozens of women who have come forward with allegations ranging from rape to sexual harassment by movie mogul Harvey Weinstein. He is currently facing five charges relating to two women in New York.He has previously admitted his behaviour has "caused a lot of pain" but has described many of the allegations against him as "patently false".
Rose McGowan is one of Harvey Weinstein victim, in her book she narrates how harvey abused her and after that sucess she told what just happened to her co-star which reply was : “D*nm I told him to stop doing those things” and that this could help her in her future carrer . McGowan was horrified knowing that most of Hollywood knew the kind of monster that Harvey was and  people were doing nothing to stop him.

Following the Weinstein case, the #MeToo movement was born, #MeToo put on blast predatory gatekeepers in media, sports and entertainment by bypassing traditional streams of reporting sexual misconduct and harassment. It inspired millions of women to share their experiences on social media where they felt power in numbers and solidarity in sisterhood by simply saying "me too".

At the start of October 2017, Harvey Weinstein was an all-powerful Hollywood mogul wielding unchecked power to make or break the careers of women working in the industry. Now he faces up to 29 years behind bars after being convicted this week in 29/02/2020 of sexual assault and third-degree rape.

  1. Regarding this issue, I believe that people do not want to realize the seriousness of the matter.
They are very aware of what this man did and for being a very important person in the film industry they don't want to dirty his name with that kind of accusations.
Luckily they entered into reason and this man is already behind bars.

  2. laura: This topic seems embarrassing to me, because not for being famous and an important person in the cinema's world , he has not right to rape or abuse women and if he does he has to be punished like the rest of people. Luckily, he is now behind bars and has to pay for what he has done.
